Dispute Occurs

A conflict arises between Aladin and Genie during contract execution.

Aggrieved Party Files Petition

The aggrieved party files a Petition, submitting evidence and a bond to formally trigger dispute resolution.

Sultan Council is Summoned

A Sultan Council is randomly selected from reputable Aladins and Genies with high CVC scores.

Members are tasked with reviewing the case and making a collective decision.

Council Reviews Evidence

Both parties present their case and evidence to the Council.

The Council deliberates and moves toward a verdict.

Sultan’s Verdict

The Council issues a binding decision:

  • Genie Wins: Outcome favors Genie.

  • Aladin Wins: Outcome favors Aladin.

Outcomes

  • If Genie Wins: Funds are distributed to Genie (Payment + Escrow).

  • If Aladin Wins: Escrow is refunded to Aladin.

Reputation Adjusted (CVC)

The losing party’s CVC score is reduced to reflect performance.

Contract Closed

Once funds are settled and reputation adjusted, the contract is formally closed.

The Petition Process: Dispute Resolution by the Sultanate

This is the core mechanism for ensuring fairness.

  1. Initiation: An Aladin or Genie initiates the "Dispute" path.

  2. Participation: A Sultan Council is randomly convened from high-reputation (high CVC) Genies and Aladins with relevant experience. They are tasked with arbitrating the dispute and casting votes to reach a final verdict.

  3. Outcome:

    • Genie Wins: The Genie receives the payment and the full escrowed amount from both parties.

    • Aladin Wins: The Aladin receives a full refund of the escrowed amount from both parties.

  4. Consequence: The losing party's CVC score is negatively impacted. Transaction fees from the fund distribution are sent to the Treasury.
